Day 6 (August 26, 2006) - Elgin, IL
<<^>>
Off to Chicago after spending the morning packing and doing laundry. I drove 250 miles, graduating from the driving-the-turd-through-tollboths program. I wanted to take pictures of all the signs of the states we will be crossing, but some of them do not post signs (or go unnoticed by us). We could not find the Illinois sign.

Arrived in Sugar Grove, IL only to find out that the campground was shut down at the end of 2004, so we drove another 30 miles to Elgin, and we are staying at Burnidge State Park - about 45 miles from Chicago, north-east of O'Hare airport. Small place with many huge RVs. We are the tiny guys, but the coolest, I think, with bikes and Vespa. We will find some public means of transportation to get into the city.

Indiana is a hospitable state.

I think Petr might have seen something I am missing here.

Ditto.

At the campground.

Another shot of the campground...

and another...

...and yet another...

...and again - maybe its beauty escapes me. Petr selected the pictures...
